Offenbach-based club Robert Johnson has always done things on its own terms, and its latest campaign, Keep In Touch, offers rave-starved punters the chance to purchase an exclusive sparking wine featuring slogans inspired by the venue.
Available through the standalone site www.keepintouch.love, the wine bottles feature slogans such as ‘Explain to me, how can there be another last record’, ‘If you talk to her, she can’t sing along’, and ‘Music saved my life’, and were commissioned by sommelier Peter Wittner and club co-founder Ata Macias.
Other products available as part of the campaign include screen prints developed in collaboration with Ivan Smagghe, a key chain designed by Mirko Borsche, a series of wall lamps designed by Solomun, and a punching bag – just the thing to relieve the tension before the clubs open up again.
More products are on the way, including collaborations with Gerd Janson, Sven Vath and others. It’s a far cry from commemorative t-shirts, that’s for sure (although those are also available via the club’s Bandcamp page).
All proceeds from the sale will go towards the preservation of the venue, which has significant financial difficulties having been closed for a year now – its last show was an Âme all-nighter on 7 March 2020.
