A rare film documenting Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman project will air tomorrow night
A lost film that documents Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman project, by director and audiovisual artist David Terranova, is set to be broadcast tomorrow night (Friday), via Beatport’s website and Twitch channel.
While details about the film, Plastikman Rewind, are scant, the press release contains the following quote from Hawtin, which suggests that we’re in for a psychedelic adventure.
“Imagine waking up from an acid trip and trying to put all the pieces back together… ten years later,” he says.
Terranova has been worked with artists such as Nina Kraviz, Matthew Dear, Nicolas Jaar and TEED in the past and also produced visuals for Depeche Mode’s 2013 Delta Machine Tour. He also previously worked with Hawtin on Minus Embed, a short film which tracked the DJs’ performances on New Years Eve night 2010.
Plastikman Rewind will be broadcast at 11pm tomorrow night (midnight CET), and again at 5am Saturday morning (midnight EST in North America).
