This new book on Paris’ club culture in the 1990s looks like a coffee table essential…

Paris in the 1990s was a special time and place for electronic music, seeing the emergence of artists such as Daft Punk and Laurent Garnier, as well as clubs like the infamous Rex.

Now, photographer Olivier Degorce has published a new book, Plastic Dreams, which features some 440 photos, 220 DJs, 12 essays and a myriad of happy clubgoers, between the years of 1991 and 1999.

It’s been published on HeadBangers Publishing, an offshoot of Ed Banger Records, and is available via online retailers Club75 and Rough Trade.

It may be nine months till Christmas, but this one looks like a stocking-filler essential..!
