Giorgio Moroder toasts 40 years of ‘I Feel Love’…

Now THIS was a good idea…

Brooklyn, New York-based Schimanski pulled a jewel out of the record box on 27 July when it convinced moustachioed maestro Giorgio Moroder and Francois K to hit the turntables to celebrate 40 years of Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’ – arguably the tune that launched the Italian’s career.

Moroder’s set is everything you expect it to be, a smattering of disco classics, synth masterpieces and, of course, Donna herself to finish off. Kudos to Mixmag, Smirnoff et all for putting on what I’m sure was a special night, and extra thanks to the individual that decided to share it with the world…
