We’re nearing the end of the first round of Eurodance 2021, but there’s still room for a top quality match or two, such as this contest between Haddaway’s What Is Love and Maxx’s Get-A-Way.

If you hadn’t heard of Nestor Alexander Haddaway going into 1993, by the end of the year, the Trinidadian-born singer was a household name, thanks to What Is Love, which went stratospheric on its release in May of that year. Also released in 1993, Maxx’s Get-A-Way was a dance floor stomper which blended thumping beats, ragga-rapping and soaring female vocals; a proven recipe for Eurodance success.
